Beautiful setting and thoroughly enjoyed the whole day. The spa itself was very clean and has good facilities. I had a brilliant massage from a lovely therapist, Stephanie I think. Our afternoon tea was good especially for gluten free and again the service was excellent. My only criticism could be there's only one toilet in the ladies changing room and the showers don't stay on for long enough. Other than that, spot on! Thank you Reynolds Retreat for a lovely day.
How to ruin a good club. Used to be the Rolls Royce standard for health clubs but is now inefficient and a little seedy. Loads of staff milling around chatting, none doing useful things like checking the sauna and pool are hot enough and indeed if the sauna has a door handle, or doing even the occasional disinfectant power wash down. Foot washers are an ineffectual gimmick and the steam room has an unhealthy smell. The only club NOT OFFERING a Senior discount. To sum up a huge building and grounds with good facilities sadly let down by uninspired management missing a chance to make a wholistic difference to people's health.
Lovely grounds and facilities. Staff were friendly, I'd read some reviews saying they weren't so wasn't sure what to expect but really good customer service throughout. We had a voucher so thought are treatments might not be as good but felt so relaxed after. Afternoon tea was delicious. I would definitely recommend it and would go back. Only downside, foot spa was cold and couldn't seem to get the water warm, steam room was out of service and this was one of the things I was looking forward to most. Lovely as a gift or treat for someone
A fantastic spa, it is gorgeous and truly a health spa. Add the fact that rarely is it full of people, in the open areas, it is a perfect hangout spot when you need to "let go". That said, if going for treatments I highly recommend you call in advance and book early or you may not get the service. No hotel, but it is a full service spa. Plans are in place to add accommodations. If looking to workout while here the gym is fully equipped and staffed with personal trainers as well. The surroundings are a 10 on a 5 star scale. Don't feel like being inside? Run the track around the property. Swim, workout, get a spa treatment or just get away from the city. This place is awesome. Now that said, the service could be a touch better. I had never been there but they didn't offer a full tour. I had to request it AFTER I was through with my time here. So...still worth the drive out of London.
We came as a party of three and all thoroughly enjoyed our time here. It's a lovely location. We came on a deal which included access to gym/spa facilities and a cream tea. All the staff were polite and helpful. The facilities were good and the cream tea was fab. I was served a soft drink of my choice as I don't drink tea. I liked the bag given with towel, robe and slippers. Yes, there is a little maintenance needed here and there. A missing tile here and there, slightly splintered wood in the sauna and some buttons that wouldn't work in the shower, but the views are fabulous, the sauna is lovely with its window. It is mainly fabulous with a bit of attention needed here and there.
