Love it here great place for a family walk and nearly always get pretty close to the resident deer which the kids love. Nice cafe on site as well.
A beautiful park, full of deer - over 1000 acres in total! The park itself is free to enter but it's 4 to park a car , unless yours national trust member and then it's free. The park has numerous on and off-road paths - so a great place to run. The manor house looks wonderful and there is a national trust coffee shop and gift shop. The NT organise a variety of events including feeding deer in thr winter (with the staff - don't feed them by yourself!), winter walks, children's events, making your own Christmas cards, coffee mornings etc. The national trust website has all if the details.Well worth a visit and very family oriented.
Set on the North down at the edge of Sevenoaks. Lovely deer park, mixed woodland and parkland. Golf course makes up part of the park. Lots of fallow deer and a few sika deer as well as good mix of woodland birds to be seen. At the centre of the park is Knole house, with toilets, cafe and gift shop. Car park free to national trust members. Lots of footpaths cross the park, some mud, others gravel or tarmac. Hilly in places with a couple of steep climbs.
The park itself is lovely but the walking routes are so badly signposted it's virtually impossible to follow. Very disappointed, especially as the staff in the visitor centre said the walks described on the national trust website are not signposted at all anymore. Marred an otherwise nice afternoon.
Loads of space to explore. I love taking my family here. Great cafe as well.
