Very good service. Well organised and efficient. Staff is very friendly, Definitely recommend!
A wonderful vet practice: all the staff - vets, nurses, receptionists - are kind and friendly, the whole premises are spotless and I always feel as if Ive been given the best advice - and my cat the best care - available. Really glad I chose Pennards when I first got a pet.
This is a friendly practice with welcoming staff. The entrance is easily accessible by a gentle, sloping ramp and an automatic door. The staff are professional and knowledgeable without being stuffy and are very good with their clients - human and non-human. These are the reasons for my recommendation.
STAY A WAY WITH CHICKENS !!!Called the vet before a visit to make sure they will be able to help my ill chicken and described the symptoms as past other vets couldn't diagnosis her illness.I was informed that, vet Elli has experience with chickens and she's happy to see us. It turn up, she had no clue what the problem was. Her approach to my pet and me was cold and I felt that I'm asking to many questions, she suggested referral and charged me 40 !!!
Expensive but, on the whole, well worth it. Our dog has been with Pennard Vets for just under two years, since a puppy. It's well known as one of the more expensive vets in the area but as a first time dog owner I valued the free puppy play groups and advice and I liked the idea of their puppy plan (chargeable) with scheduled monthly appointments with the nurse and vaccinations. Perhaps if you were an experienced dog owner you would feel this was a waste of money but I certainly didn't.Unfortunately our dog developed an incredibly rare and severe viral infection, for which there is no proven cure. This is where I would say Pennard Vets came into its own. I simply don't believe we would have had the same quality of treatment if we had gone to Pets At Home, etc. Pennard Vets work closely with the Royal Vetinary College and their network of national and international experts. I felt that the treatment was the best we could have had for our dog. The care was compassionate, but honest; professional, but caring. We're not out of the woods yet but I feel that our dog has the best chance he can have of living a long healthy life and, if he doesn't, then I know Pennard Vets will be with us at the end, helping us through those difficult decisions. If you are lucky enough to have a largely healthy dog, then you might say that the fees are too high for consultations and minor procedures but if your dog is seriously ill (assuming you can afford it or, like us, have insurance) then the fees are worth it for the top quality care.
