Although there is a vets in the village where I live i much prefer to use this one which is a few miles out but the experience and welcome is loads better.
Best vets penny is great my dog bruno loves her hes always so happy to see her freindly staff
Thank you to everyone who looked after my dog. I took Grey Bear a Shar Pei to have his eye checked as he was squinting a lot, I didn't realise it was Entropion. Tim who was looking after us explained what was wrong and that Grey would need an operation. Grey was operated on very quickly, the speed at which all this was done was amazing, Greys eye looks perfect it's so nice to see him with his eye open fully, no squinting or eye watering, there is no scarring at all. I'm completely overwhelmed with how good he looks. Grey ended up having his other eye operated on too. From the very first appointment to the aftercare was brilliant, I can't rate this practice enough, everyone is so professional, friendly extremely kind. Myself and Grey Bear are so grateful to everyone for his treatment and care. Also the practice doing the paperwork for the Insurance is a fantastic service. I highly recommend this practice and so glad I bring my dog here. Thank you to everyone for looking after Grey.Tiim your expertise and knowledge of Shar Pei is fantastic, they way you explained to me how the Entropion affects the eye was really helpful. I can't thank you enough.
Ive been meaning to leave this review for some time now. I used to take my pets to this vets a few years ago, when I lived locally in 2015. They dont even deserve one star, but there is no option for less. I used to have ducks, and one became egg bound. At the time I didnt know what to do and thought the best thing was to take my duck to the vets. Unfortunately the vets had no idea what they were doing, but they didnt tell me this and proceeded to treat the duck as if they did. One of the vets examined the duck and decided to x-ray her saying she could also feel something in her chest - told me it was likely to be a credit card!!!!???. What the vet was in fact feeling was the ducks chest bone! Absolutely shocking the vet didnt know this. And the x Ray obviously only showed its chest bone. A duck couldnt swallow a credit card, it can only eat items according to its gape size - which is simple biology. Secondly, regarding the duck being egg bound the vet decided the best thing to do was burst the egg and then proceeded to tell me the duck would pass it overnight. This in fact killed my duck. You should never burst an egg inside the duck and leave the shell and contents inside!! I have since learnt this. I wish id known this at the time, it might have saved my duck. She died slowly and likely painfully over night instead. Not only did this vet kill one of my ducks, I also found their knowledge and skills were lacking even when it came to treating my two cats. Furthermore, they are completely over priced. I would never recommend anyone take their pet here.. and I certainly never went back and never will!!
